About White Oak

White Oak boasts two shopping centers, and numerous shops along our main thoroughfare, Lincoln Way. Our local grocery stores are conveniently located in Oak Park Mall and at the corner of Eden Park and O'Neil Boulevards.   A limited kosher selection is available at both of these stores. A more extensive kosher shopping experience awaits you at Murray Avenue Kosher, which is a short drive into the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA.

To ensure your good health, doctors' offices of every type abound along our main thoroughfare and we are a short distance to two hospitals. The world reknowned UPMC Children's Hospital and Magee Women's Hospital are within a half an hour drive.

There are two parks in the neighborhood, White Oak Park (behind Oak Park Mall), and Heritage Park (which also hosts our local public library, a part of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh).

Housing in White Oak is extremely affordable, with most prices well under $150,000.00 for a three or four bedroom brick house. We often call ourselves the "best kept secret in Allegheny County."
